Variety description

The thick-fleshed fennel Sampo is exclusively suitable for autumn cultivation. It produces beautiful, ball-shaped, very heavy bulbs.Very slow growing variety but with a good yield and fine appearance. It has upright foliage and few side shoots. Well suited for keeping in storage. Has a particularly aromatic fennel flavor.

This variety is a newly bred, organic variety. It was cultivated under biodynamic conditions from the start, so that it is optimally adapted to organic cultivation. Varieties that carry the bioverita label are reproducible because they are open pollinated. They offer commercial gardeners an alternative to hybrid seed.
